The Jaguar C-X16, was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Jaguar stated that it is their smallest car since the 1954 Jaguar XK120, at: 4,445 mm length; 2,048 mm
width; 1,297 mm height.
Styling
The C-X16 form takes cues from Jaguar's 2010 C-X75 plug-in hybrid concept supercar, including the shape of the front grille and the wrap-around rear lights, and also has a side-hinged opening rear window reminiscent of the 1961 E-Type.
Specifications
The C-X16 is powered by a new 3.0-litre petrol V6, which coupled to a supercharger develops 375 bhp (280 kW) and 332 lb·ft (450 N·m) of torque. Also in the drive train is a 95 bhp (71 kW) electric motor, which can power the vehicle on its own up to 50 mph (80 km/h), using a 1.6 kWh battery charged through brake regeneration. The engine bay is big enough to accommodate Jaguars petrol V8 or 3.0-litre diesel engines.
